
Rates & Fees
At Balancing Rocks Holistic Therapy, we want to ensure you have a smooth and stress-free billing experience. Below is important information on payment methods, insurance coverage, and reimbursement options.
Rates per Session
We offer free 10-15 minute consultation for you to ask questions and decide if you want to start with your therapist. Sessions are $180 per 50 minute session, but we offer a sliding scale of $130- $180 based on individual needs.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)
- What it is: A health benefits program for First Nations and Inuit individuals who are registered with the Indian Register or are recognized as Inuit.
- Eligibility: Available to individuals with status under the Indian Act and those recognized as Inuit.
- Coverage: Provides coverage for various health services not covered by provincial/territorial health plans, including psychotherapy
- How it works:
- Eligible clients may receive direct billing for psychotherapy sessions.
- If paying upfront, clients can submit receipts for reimbursement.
IFHP (Interim Federal Health Program) Coverage
What it is: A temporary health insurance program for refugee claimants, protected persons, and sponsored refugees in Canada who do not yet have provincial or territorial health coverage.
Eligibility: Available to individuals who have applied for refugee status or have been granted protected person status in Canada.
Coverage: Covers a range of health services, including psychotherapy.
How it works:
- Eligible clients can have their psychotherapy services directly billed to IFHP.
- If paying upfront, clients can submit receipts to IFHP for reimbursement.
Reimbursement for insurance coverage or benefits
Here’s how the reimbursement process works:
- Check to see if your insurance covers Psychotherapy services
- Pay for your session using your preferred method (credit card or e-transfer to billing@balancingrockstherapy.ca).
- After your payment, you will receive a detailed receipt from us.
- Submit the receipt to your private insurance provider (eg. Benefits through your employment) for reimbursement.
