About Us

Our name represents patience, kindness and strength through unity.

Natural occurrence: Balancing Rocks are sometimes created overtime due to erosion or abrasion caused naturally by water, wind, ice and natural disasters. They are the final outcome of what happens when weaker materials vanish, or are swept away, creating the structures that have lasted and will last for years and years. Similarly, working on oneself helps to create a strong foundation and inner self, through personal healing journeys. 

As an art form: Rock balancing is also an art form where people balance rocks on top of one another in various positions, using only the rocks as one another’s balance. As you can imagine this art form requires a lot of patience, and grace, and forgiveness for oneself as you try and fail and try again until you build a free standing structure. It necessitates the mind to go into a meditative state, and become focused on the process, bringing the balancer into the moment. This idea of trial and error and perseverance is what Balancing Rocks Treatment Centre represents. We understand that communities and individuals endure different kinds and severities of trauma, which leads to imbalances within. Rock balancing mirrors taking healing in your own hands and through trial and error, rebuilding your life with the support from our Therapists. Sometimes rocks fall, and it feels like the foundation has been destroyed, but in actuality, the foundation is the time and work a balancer has put into their craft; that can never be destroyed.
